I’m extremely proud to announce we met and surpassed the $50,000 benchmark I set as our starting point at Low Carb Houston exactly three weeks ago today.
Words cannot express the level of thanks I have for this community coming together and driving this science forward.
Please keep those donations coming. By our rough estimates, each $2,000 will cover us for one LMHR measured. And as I also mentioned in Houston, my dream would be for us to get to 50, or even 100 LMHRs tracked. To be sure, that may be a stretch goal… but as of right now, it’s not so far away.
As of this writing, we’re already at $56,232. Part of this new surge has been boosted by the new video I released a couple days ago, which has helped spread the message and reach new audiences.
Yet the most powerful MVPs are the people who actively spread the word far and wide — you might be one of them. Don’t just contribute, share!

Lastly, I made a challenge with the community that if we actually reach all the matching funds for our Anonymous Donor ($25k for Nov), that I’d make a lipoprotein costume and run in it for the 10k I’m in this Sunday. As of right this moment, we’re just $3,423 from hitting that goal. Thus, I’ve already started making it, given the velocity of donations so far, I might very well be wearing it in two days!
The community has until midnight tomorrow to make this happen. And while it would be definitely be a much more difficult jog (I’m already woefully undertrained), it would definitely be worth it for me. Plus it would be pretty cool story, all in all.
Again, Thank You
One more time, let me just say thanks. I have more faith in citizen science today than ever before. The magnitude of progress to this benchmark has exceeded even my most optimistic assumptions.
You made it happen.
Congrats Dave and thanks. The entire low carb community truly benefits from the scientific backbone of research you will create with the Citizen Science Foundation!!
Also. Just curious that I cannot see my membership/payment history anymore for Cholesterol Code. Thanks
Hi, if you go to your membership page it should prompt you to login (if you aren’t already) and then you should be able to see your payment history. If it doesn’t show up, please let us know so we can work to resolve the issue. Thank you!!
I’m able to login but membership history is gone. I used to see all monthly payments since 2018. This now shows.

Thanks so much for letting us know! I’ve checked into it, and it seems to be a backend issue. I’ve pinged Dave on it and will be working with him to resolve it. I’ll ping back when we have it resolved.
Just a heads up, that this should be resolved and everything looks as it should on our side. It does look as though your membership expired today, but if you would like to renew it, just go here select “renew membership” and then if you’d like it to auto-renew make sure to click the “auto renew” box. Or, you could opt to do so manually every month if you’d prefer. Hope this helps, and if there’s anything else don’t hesitate to reach out!
Still may be off on your end as $100 charge also went through on Nov 19th. That payment also isn’t listed.
Thanks for pointing that out – I’m guessing it wasn’t recorded as the backend issue happened around the same time. I’ve entered it manually in the record, and confirmed that the payment did go through, and set your account back to active (it sets it back to active once the payment is recorded in our system). Also made sure the auto-renew date was updated properly as well.
That’s great news, I have recently found you because I listen to Peter Attia, and I am pretty sure I am a lmhr, What is want to know is what you eat on a normal daily basis. I know you take pictures. Be well , sandy Rogen
Hi – this might be a good question to ask the Lean Mass Hyper-responder facebook group. You might get a wider spread of representation there. Dave’s not currently a LMHR, more of a standard hyper-responder for now. 🙂
