    Wish I had labs from back before 2017 shift to ketogenic diet. From keto to carnivore, I have seen 25% rise in total cholesterol. (lots of “warning” red in the lab results) 🙂

    1. Ah yes, I definitely wish I had more results from prior to keto as well. It’s an often heard musing, unfortunately. 🙂

    I too am looking forward to the results. Our medical community has an online portal that keeps our test results back to 2012 available to look on. I am happy to give any information that I have.

    Are you looking for LM hyper-responders only? I’m not that lean, but LDL quite high on LCHF/ZC.

    1. I would submit regardless. Or if not, you could always submit your data elsewhere on the site! It does sound interesting, in general. 🙂

    1. Hello, would you mind posting your actual numbers? It’s hard to comment without further context.
      E.g. what is your total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides?

    Hi, I am a 52 year female post menopause. My test results are very high and I’m scared out of my mind. Dr wants me on medication and fruits and veggies diet. I eat meat, eggs,and little veggies. I do not work out like I should but I am active. My cholesterol levels are HDL 88, LDL 447.2, Trig 124, ttl 560 (mg) do I need to be concerned with these numbers?

    1. Hi, although I’m not a doctor and can’t give medical advice, the higher than expected triglycerides are interesting considering the expected level of HDL. Was this test done 12-14 hours water-only fasted (no coffee, no tea, no caffeine, etc – water only)? If so, you may want to check out this post – non-fasted or improperly fasted tests can sometimes be wonky, so I’d want to be sure to get a properly fasted test so I could be sure I was looking at accurate information.
      If it was 12-14 hours water only fasted, I’d check out this post and see if anything sounds like a possibility.

    Hi, I wanted to submit the survey but I lost my earlier blood work when my old computer crashed so I can’t fill in all the required fields. I want to say everything was in the standard reference ranges before. My latest lipid panel (14 hour fasted, maybe a bit more)(11/02/2020) is in LMHR range:

    Cholesterol, Total 406 mg/dL
    HDL 92 mg/dL
    Triglycerides 45 mg/dL
    LDL Calculated 305 mg/dL
    NON-HDL CHOLESTEROL 314 mg/d

    I’m 28 years old, 5’11, 180 lbs., living in Richmond Hill NY, I lift weights about 6 hours a week, and I do have some family history of heart attack and stroke. Been eating about 2500-3000 calories, 216g protein, 173g fat, 0 carbs. Mainly an elimination style diet to find trigger foods, including just quality ground meats, eggs, and salt. I take D3 and a skin probiotic, Skinesa, and no meds. No CAC test or 23andMe either.

    I’ve tried experimenting with different diets due to a few chronic health issues like acne, psoriasis/eczema, and brain fog. Tried veganism WFPB before, and now into the more keto/carnivore side. Went to a new GP who took standard blood tests and the only scary metric was my LDL and she now wants me on statins asap. Been also getting some chest pains lately, not sure if purely psychosomatic due to nerves or something more serious. I asked my GP about further testing but she wasn’t having it and just insists on statins.

    I requested to join the FB group as well, just waiting on an acceptance. Any info on where to get more nuanced professional help or just any general advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello,

    I am currently a graduate student studying nutrition and I am doing a research project on cholesterol and how it affects the hispanic population. I came across this survey and I think It would be very helpful for me to use in my research since it asks alot of questions that I an interesting in measuring myself. I was hoping if I could borrow your survey for educational purposes? If you could please let me know as soon as possible that would great. Or if you know of anywhere or somewhere where I can find something similar to this that would also be great!

    1. Hi, I’m not sure what you mean by borrowing the survey. Do you mean the results of the survey, or just using the same questions/structure for your own work? Let me know, and I’ll be sure to get a response from Dave for you ASAP.

    I just filled out the survey, have watched a lot of Dave’s videos, and would be interested in receiving all new results or interesting new finds.
